Goal planner

Work out the monthly SIP to hit a target amount.

Quick answer

A goal SIP calculator works backwards: enter your target amount, timeline, and expected return to find the monthly SIP needed to reach it. Use conservative returns for short goals (debt) and 10–12% for long-term equity goals.

What this tells you

Work backwards from a goal: tell it how much you need and by when, and it tells you the monthly SIP to get there.

How it's calculated

We invert the SIP annuity formula to solve for the monthly contribution that reaches your target at the assumed return.

Common questions

What return should I assume for a goal?
For goals under 3 years, use a safe 6–7% (debt/FD) — don't risk near-term money in equity. For 7+ year goals, 10–12% equity assumptions are reasonable.
