Common questions

Is CTC the same as in-hand salary?
No. CTC is cost-to-company on paper. In-hand is what hits your bank after employee PF, professional tax, and income tax. Never divide CTC by 12 for budgeting.
How do I find in-hand for my LPA package?
Open the matching /salary/{n}-lpa-in-hand report or use the take-home calculator with your fixed CTC and basic %. Variable pay and employer PF in CTC do not land in your account.
New vs old tax regime — which shows higher in-hand?
It depends on HRA and deductions. Our salary reports show both regimes side by side for FY 2025-26 so you can pick before you lock payroll.
Why is 12 LPA not ₹1 lakh per month?
₹12L ÷ 12 is ₹1L only before deductions. Fixed-heavy 12 LPA often lands near ₹78–88k/month in-hand after PF and tax in our default model.
