Sweep-in FD
Also known as: Auto-sweep account
A feature that auto-moves extra savings-account cash into an FD for higher interest, while staying accessible.
A sweep-in facility automatically shifts money above a set balance from your savings account into a linked FD earning more interest.
If you need the money, the FD is broken automatically to cover the shortfall, so you keep liquidity.
It is a neat way to earn FD-level interest on idle cash without locking it fully away.
For example
Set a ₹50,000 threshold, and any balance above it sweeps into an FD, earning ~7% instead of the ~3% a savings account pays.
